Inside the Catch: Best Brawls, Discovery, 10.30am
IT'S like Deadliest Catch: Jerry Springer Edition or, as one of the crab fishermen here puts it, The Real Housewives of the Bering Strait. There aren't a lot of punches thrown in this argy-bargy retrospective, but there's a lot of push and shove and plenty of livid faces and bulging eyeballs as the captains and their crew members give each other spray after spray. It's bitter-sweet to see former skipper Phil Harris, who died after a stroke in 2010, reminiscing about how his sons Josh and Jake (now seasoned crab fishermen) brawled so much as children that he bought them boxing gloves so they could have it out in a semi-civilised manner. Of course, the pair continue to have their high-decibel differences to this day. This special is one for the fans, but newcomers would do well to try to catch a regular episode.
Best Friends, 13th Street, 9.30pm
CLAUDIA (Claudette Mink) sure looks like the best friend a women ever had. Nothing she can do to help her pal Beth (Megan Gallagher) in this so-so telemovie thriller seems too much trouble. But when Claudia offs her own husband for the insurance money we realise she is a cold, calculating psycho. Well, not that calculating - hubby's life insurance had lapsed so Claudia is broke and needs to set about destroying Beth so she can steal her more successful husband.
Britain's Witch Children, CI, 3.30pm
An episode of Channel 4's current-affairs series Dispatches, going undercover inside churches at which British-African preachers denounce children as witches.
WWE Vintage Collection, Fox8, 3.30pm
The whole family can bond over pantomime stoushes from the era of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.
The Valleys, MTV, 8pm
Reality show in which young people from rural Wales move in to a house in Cardiff.
