Four white lion cubs born at Belgrade Zoo

Four white lion cubs have been born at the Belgrade Zoo.

A white lioness gave birth on Monday to the playful cubs, who are now important new members of the lion family at the zoo in the Serbian capital.

Nadja Radovic, who works with the lions, said on Wednesday that all four cubs were doing fine.

She said they had been accepted by their mother.

The zoo now has six lion cubs, a one-year-old and four adult lions, three of whom are white.

White lions, an extremely rare subspecies of the African lion, have become the zoo's greatest attraction.
