'Clever country' goal under threat due to cuts: Academy of Science

The Australian Academy of Science has put the federal government on notice that Australia's reputation as a “clever country” is at risk, appealing directly to Tony Abbott to reverse $431.5 million in science funding slashed by Labor in the past two years.
