Tony Abbott wore a pink tie for the annual pink Test at the SCG, which commemorates the life of Jane McGrath, the wife of former cricketer Glenn McGrath.
But he faced an impossible choice when judging a cake-decorating competition at a high-tea fund-raiser for the McGrath Foundation, the charity set up to help fund breast-care nurses.
Three teams, Margie Abbott and celebrity chef Julie Goodwin, sportswomen Ellyse Perry and Candice Falzon, and McGrath and his daughter Holly, were awarded 18 points apiece.
It was, after all, in the name of a good cause.
