Top players who will not feature at World Cup 2014

Fairfax Media's in-house football pundits have put together this 23-man selection of the cream of the world game set to miss Brazil 2014.

The first XI is based on player form this season. It is set up to play 4-3-3 under perhaps the best gaffer not to be seen on the World Cup 2014 sidelines - Bayern Munich's Spanish genius Pep Guardiola.
