Brumbies venture into the Lions den

First up I'd like to say what a tremendous performance the Brumbies put in against 16 Bulls players last week. To come back from such adversity and down by 20 points at one stage showed what this team of 'no names' can do.

As for referee Marius Jonker, well, I hope he and his assistant referees went to OPSM on their day off this week to get a prescription made up to help them in future games. The SANZAR referees boss has come out this week and confirmed what every Brumbies fan already knew - that we were robbed. Thank you Captain Obvious!

Now to this weeks game against the Lions. The Johannesburg based side haven't been travelling that well this year. They have only one win, which was all the way back in round 1 against fellow South Africans the Cheetahs. The Lions won the South African domestic competition, the Currie Cup, in 2011 so they can put on a decent performance if given the chance.

Normally when the Brumbies are on tour in South Africa they get to spend a bit of time in one of the tourist mecca's but this time around they have spent two weeks on the highveld. This should work in their favour as they get used to the rarified air which can be the downfall of many teams trying to get a win in the Republic.

So Brumbies fans, watch the action unfold at 3:10 on Saturday morning as our boys slay the Lions and remain top of the Australian Conference. You can have a sleep in on Saturday morning and then watch the replay of the great win.
