A Morayfield man accused of staging a five-hour siege at a Caboolture home, armed with a shotgun while an infant was trapped inside, will return to court in September.
Philip Paul Colegate, 37, faced the Caboolture Magistrates Court briefly on Friday on charges of assault, deprivation of liberty, threatening violence, discharging a firearm and dangerous conduct with a weapon and other weapons offences.
The matter was adjourned until September 9 and he was remanded in custody. No application for bail was made.

On Thursday, emergency services were called to Larkin Court in Caboolture following reports of an assault and shots being fired.
Police were able to eventually hand the young boy to his distressed mother about 3pm, following negotiations between specialist officers and a man.
A 26-year-old woman was injured during the incident, although she was not shot.
Police set up a large exclusion zone around the property while the siege unfolded, closing off a number of streets and asking residents to stay inside their homes.
