Many Kevins, many Rudds

He's here, he's everywhere

He's here, he's everywhere Illustration: Rocco Fazzari

A recent Phillip Coorey piece referred to the many sightings of Kevin Rudd.
Across the media spectrum he popped up to remind us all he was still there and ready for the call-up.
Ready as ever to step up, Kevin is one of many Kevins.
Tailoring his persona for each medium and event is his speciality. ‘FM radio Kev’, for an example, is the breezy version compared to the rather bookish ‘opinion piece Kevin’.
The recent big communist congress in China would have turned his wistful eyes towards the grand occasion and change of leadership.
‘Many Kevins’ is this week’s espresso video animation theme, helping to perhaps keep his profile up there.

    • What is it with Labor leaders that they have so many different personalities. Look at Gillard we must be up to Gillard Nbr 12 at least, this is anti misogynist Julia, we have at the present time, but we have had so many Julia's before that, it can make your head spin. And now you point out that Rudd is just the same. I think I will stick with Abbott warts and all, at least I know the bloke.

    • I would take ANY version of Kevin or Julia, over Tony 1.0

    • I think every one knows what his ajenda. If he was not such a dictator and media personality mabe he would get re-elected by his party. His return would leave the Labour party fragmented.

      • Persistence in war consists of keeping one's opponents guessing at what is on the other side of the hill.

        • As bad as Rudd was in the role of PM, many Kevins would be far better than the various Julias we have had to endure over the last few years.

          • Must watch viewing is ABC's Q&A this Monday night - Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull are appearing together answering questions. Should be a good juicy session. Expect Gillard and Abbott to be watching.

          • Rocco - I think you missed the part where Kevvy abuses the bus driver for not delivering a hot meal of his choice whilst he ponders the world's imponderables. At least you spared us the hot air speeches that usually issues from Kevvy's orfice.
