A 23-year-old motorbike rider has died after he collided with a four-wheel drive in Chittering, on Saturday.

A 23-year-old motorbike rider died after he collided with a four-wheel drive in Chittering on Saturday.

The man was riding northwest along Julimar Road when he hit the Pajero four-wheel drive at 3.25pm, police media spokeswoman Susan Usher said.

“The Pajero continued down a steep embankment causing it to rollover and catch fire,” she said.

“The 49-year-old female driver of the Pajero and her two children who were passengers in the vehicle received minor injuries and were taken to Northam Hospital for treatment.”

The motorbike rider received fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or saw either vehicle prior to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
