Trial over machete killing at Perth party

Date

A man will stand trial after a 19-year-old personal trainer was killed with a machete outside a house party in Perth's north.

Abraham Keung Cross appeared in the West Australian Supreme Court via video link from Hakea Prison on Monday where he formally pleaded not guilty.

It is alleged Mr Cross murdered Callum Pinner with a machete outside a house party in Doubleview in October last year.

A provisional trial date was set for February 24, with the trial expected to take five weeks.

Mr Cross will appear in court again on October 16 for a status conference.
