The Phantom of the Opera: at the Canberra Theatre.

Enjoy a night out with your special guest and enjoy one of the world’s greatest musicals, Phantom of the Opera. Courtesy of Free Rain Productions, five readers of The Canberra Times will win a double pass to see the show.

The Canberra premiere – Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mesmerizing Phantom of the Opera

Far beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House, hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protégée Christine Daaé is so strong that even her heart cannot resist.

Free Rain Theatre has successfully won the rights to stage the premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera in Canberra and negotiated with two established musical theatre stars for the roles of The Phantom,Michael Cormick and Christine Julie Lea Goodwin and the directorial services of David Harmon who has worked with Opera Australia as Resident Director on Night Music.

Webbers’ heartbreaking score, breathtaking set, lighting and costumes design, magically combine at Canberra Theatre this August.
