Ashton, who is professionally known as Christine McQueen, rose to fame in 2012 after suing the late cardboard king's estate for a multi-million dollar claim. Her case was dismissed by the NSW Supreme Court and Court of Appeal last year.

She has since risen from the ashes of the three-year legal saga to become one of the most successful sex workers in the country and an advocate for the adult industry.

Ashton credits her success to cosmetic surgery, having undergone a full labiaplasty and an "O shot" – a procedure where platelet-rich plasma is injected into the vagina to increase sensitivity. The technology has been a plot line on the Real Housewives of New York.

After being "surgically tweaked, plumped and lasered" last week Ashton and her family appeared on SBS's The Feed. She spoke of the stigma sex workers face and how she has gone on to build an empire (in the decriminalised state of NSW) after starting in the industry when she was 14-years-old.

Following a struggle with drug addiction and becoming "clean and sober" several years ago she noticed sex workers, "earn, earn, earn and they always end up as poor as when they started, if not poorer and I didn't want to end up like that."

"I got a trust, an asset for my children, so I know what I'm going to work for, and I pay myself a wage."

Her family are fully supportive of her career, including her father, who is a doctor.

Ashton's 17-year-old daughter Indra said of she's "had to learn to agree" with her mother's profession.

"There have been times where it has stressed our relationship and there have been times where we haven't spoken for a while but then mentally and emotionally I come back, she made a sacrifice so that I could have my horses or I could go to boarding school and you just ground yourself again. It's a job. Like any other parent goes and works at the bank or works at a shop, it's a job," Indra said.

As well as sex work and national tours, Ashton is an aspiring business consultant and will soon publish a book for others to learn the tricks of her trade.

An SBS spokesperson confirmed Ashton was not paid for her appearance.

"During my first night on The Bachelor I was sitting in the car for ages and I was like 'I really need to go to the bathroom' so we drove to Woolwich Pier Hotel, and I was walking through the pub in my formal gown and everyone was just gawking."
