If you thought that Lady Gaga's Versace campaign looked unnaturally glowing and smooth around the edges, the proof is here that her photoshoot was subject to some heavy-handed Photoshopping.
Captured by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the Italian fashion house's spring/summer 2014 campaign, images of the singer (real name Stefani Germanotta) prior to editing have surfaced from Gaga Fresh News by way of Jezebel.
The images show the 28-year-old wearing much less make-up than in the end result, and show how her arms have been slimmed down and her skin lightened. The blonde wig, a direct reference to the hairstyle of the brand's creative director and Lady Gaga's good friend, Donatella Versace, has been lightened to look less yellow and more platinum.
While there's no denying that Lady Gaga enjoys a clear complexion, the final campaign images paint a drastically different picture from what was captured at the shoot.
