Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have announced they are officially separating.
The superstar couple announced their “conscious uncoupling” on Paltrow's blog, Goop.
As soon as the announcement was made, the website crashed.

“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” the couple wrote in a joint blog post.
“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
Paltrow and Martin met backstage at a Coldplay gig in 2002, and married just over a year later in southern California. The couple have led a relatively private life, and they have asked for their privacy to be respected as they "uncouple".

“We have always conducted our relationship privately,” write the former couple, “and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
The 41-year-old actor recently told Marie Claire that having children has made her and her husband's lives more difficult.
“Last night, I was talking about that with my husband: it gets more complicated,” she told the magazine. “The problems are getting more serious and I notice that they need me more now than even when they were very little.”
The couple have two primary school aged children, Apple, 9, and Moses, 7.
Perez Hilton reported earlier in February that a source close to the couple told him their relationship was in jeopardy. Apparently Martin wants to move back to England, to be closer to his family and band mates, while Paltrow is keen to remain in Los Angeles.
Paltrow's 37-year-old husband has said in the past that marrying the Oscar-winning actress was like winning the lottery, according to the Daily Mail.
“It's a big leap? What, from being a loser, to going out with an Oscar winner? It's a giant leap. Let's face it; it's like winning the lottery.”
Just last year Paltrow told Good Housekeeping magazine that marrying singer Martin was the best decision in her life.
The Iron Man actress did acknowledge to Glamour U.K. magazine that marriage is tough.
"It's hard being married," she told the magazine last June. "You go through great times, you go through terrible times. We're the same as any couple."
While their separation seems definite, Martin and Paltrow are keen to maintain a healthy relationship for the sake of their two young children.
“We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been,” Martin and Paltrow write.
“We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
