Justin Bieber addresses Kourtney Kardashian romance

Justin Bieber has addressed rumours that he is dating Kourtney Kardashian, saying that he is "being used".

The 21-year-old singer was responding to claims published by Us Weekly that the pair has been seeing each other after Kardashian, 36, split from long-time partner (and father of her three children) Scott Disick.

According to Us, the pair have been casually hooking up "for some time now", and were spotted enjoying each other's company at the American Music Awards after-party hosted by Bieber in November.

Speaking on The Bert Show, Bieber briefly addressed the rumours.

"I'm being used, man. What can I say?" he said.

When asked if there was anything between the two celebrities, Bieber responded: "Nah, and we'll leave it at that."

It is unclear whether Bieber meant he was being used by the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, or by Us Weekly.

Later in the program, the Sorry singer returned to the topic of the eldest Kardashian sister, adding, "For real, she's great".

Despite his new romantic pursuits (in addition to the Kardashian rumours, Bieber has recently been spotted – read: uploaded lots of Instagram pictures of himself – holidaying with 19-year-old Hailey Baldwin in the Caribbean) Bieber has never forgotten the one who got away: fellow child star Selena Gomez.

As he promotes his Purpose album, the Canadian heartthrob continues to open up about his teenage romance with Gomez, whom he dated from 2010 to 2013.

"I just want her to be happy. I love her, and we're friends still," Bieber said of Gomez, 23.

"We needed time to grow for ourselves. We were like, 'Maybe we'll come back together in the future'. And then it ended up being so long, and we just grew apart and we're just not the same people anymore."

Back in November, Bieber told Complex magazine the couple, who both released career comeback records in 2015, were so invested in each other they were bound to be disappointed.

"We were so in love. Nothing else mattered. We were all about each other. But when it's like that and you get your value from that, people will always disappoint you," Bieber said.

"Your girl or your dude, they're always going to disappoint you. Your full identity can't be in that person. My identity was in her. Her identity was in me."
