Photos of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus together again have stoked the rumour mill that they are reheating their romance.
Fans uploaded shots of the pair enjoying the Falls Festival in Byron Bay over the new year with a group, including Liam's brothers Chris and Luke and Chris' wife, Elsa Pataky.
Liam and Miley's reunion sparks rumours
The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth is pictured with his pop star ex Miley Cyrus at Falls Festival in Byron Bay.
Liam, star of The Hunger Games and Cyrus, the singer of Wrecking Ball, were reportedly spotted kissing and cuddling.
They were also photographed at a restaurant in Byron.
The Hemsworth brothers have spent Christmas in Byron with their families.
Although they have documented their holiday together on Instagram, Cyrus has been absent from the shots, suggesting they are trying to keep her reunion with Liam quiet.
"Best brothers. Best mates. Best night!!! Happy new year everyone! @fallsfestival @disclosure," Liam captioned one photo on his Instagram account.
"Pure love . Falls festival 2016 yiiiiiiiiieeeww @liamhemsworth @chrishemsworth best brothers to ever live," Luke captioned a picture on his account.
Liam Hemsworth, 25, and Cyrus, 23, met on the set of the film The Last Song and dated for five years.
They became engaged in June 2012, when Cyrus was just 20, and broke off the engagement the following year.
Since then, Cyrus has been linked with Patrick Schwarzenegger, Arnold's son, and Victoria's Secret model, Stella Maxwell, while Liam is said to have hooked up with Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence.
"Liam and I grew up together," Lawrence recently said, before confirming that the couple had kissed off-screen.
"Liam's real hot. What would you have done? ... Yeah, I have."
While fans of Hemsworth and Cyrus are excited about news of the possible reunion, the pair have remained close since their split and have both recently spoken about their relationship and ongoing friendship.
"You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage," Liam told Men's Fitness in October when asked whether he felt he had "dodged a bullet" with Cyrus, given their different approaches to fame.
"I mean, look - we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change.
"And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be.
"She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."
In the same month, Cyrus spoke to Elle magazine.
"Me and Liam are still so close and we love each other," she said, "and they make it like there is negativity."
