Liberty Ross modelled for Alexander Wang, proving that she is moving on from the K-Stew saga.

It was a walk of defiance, if ever we saw one.

Liberty Ross has taken on the hallowed runways of New York Fashion Week to walk for uber-hip local label, Alexander Wang.

The estranged wife of Rupert Sanders has been under the radar for almost two months, lying low after incendiary photographs of her film director husband emerged in a steamy clinch with Snow White and the Huntsman co-star, Kristen Stewart.

In a bold act of moving on, the model took to centre stage, oozing confidence.

But, striking and serene as she may have looked from the outside, the British model and actress said that inside, the truth was a different story.

"To be honest I was totally terrified. I hadn't actually been out of my house for seven weeks so I was really anxious. But it felt amazing", she told New York Magazine.

The 33-year-old's dark hair, parted with futuristic styling, and barely-there makeup with heavily etched eyebrows set off Wang's trademark sport chic-aesthetic - white, pared-down and with designer slashes laser cut into the skirt.

Echoing last season's ankle-detail heels, the look was paired with ultra-high strappy sandals, sleek and sophisticated to the end. Wang - who has had no easy year himself, beset by sweatshop allegations at his Broadway factory - told the magazine's The Cut site that he wanted to support Ross: "Because I love her and I support her."

In the meantime, relations between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who reportedly parted ways after the Sanders scandal broke, are said to be "totally fine".

Not that Ross, storming Manhattan, seems to be paying much attention.
