British actor Orlando Bloom has hosed down rumours he's romantically involved with Erica Packer, saying the pair have been friends since they were teenagers.
After splitting with his wife Miranda Kerr, The Hobbit star was linked with the ex-wife of billionaire James Packer after the pair were snapped holidaying together on the Spanish party island Ibiza last month.
Persistent rumours have also linked Kerr to casino mogul James.
But Bloom explained to the Kiis FM breakfast show that he and Erica are not lovers, rather just old friends.
"We've known each other since I was 19 actually," the 37-year-old told Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O on Friday.
"There was a crew of us knocking around. I knew her well before she married James, well into marrying James, and still we're all mates. It's a small world."
Kerr and Bloom have long been close friends with the Packers - the two couples holidayed together in Tahiti last year when both Miranda, 31, and Erica, 36, were still with their respective husbands.
Bloom, who's currently in Australia for Comic-Con, was reportedly good friends with Erica around a decade ago when they both were single and living in London.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star also had an awkward moment on the radio show when he bumbled an inarticulate answer about his infamous swing at pop star Justin Bieber.
"I'll tell you what that is? That's old news," Bloom said of the July incident in Ibiza.
"That is such old news, and honestly, what is there to say really? There's nothing to say.
"It's really it's like, nothing to say. It's, you know, old news."
"You said that three times," Sandilands interjected, prompting his offsider Jackie O and Bloom to descend into laughter.
Bloom also weighed into the mass female celebrity nude photo leaks, describing the breach as "so wrong".
"It's terrible that people's lives can be exposed like that. It's criminal and I hope they catch them."
"You know, I've got photos of my son on my phone."
Bloom said he's still on good terms with Kerr, and confirmed the supermodel's remarks that their three-year-old son Flynn has an around-the-clock nanny when he visits his dad.
But that's not the only time.
"We both have a nanny around all the time so that there's someone to keep the routine together," he said.
"Keeping him in a routine can be sometimes hard."
