She can however, apparently cut a bargain on a car. The Mail Online on Sunday have accused Pippa and her parents of "cashing in" on their royal connections by doing a deal with Range Rover.
"The Duchess of Cambridge’s mother Carole, brother James and sister Pippa are reported to have all been given top-of-the-range 4x4s at heavily discounted lease rates in return for acting as unofficial ambassadors for the company," writes The Mail.
They quote an unnamed source as saying: “The Middletons’ Range Rovers have been leased to them as part of the VIP scheme … you pay a small percentage of the usual fee in return for certain services – which can be as little as being seen driving around in the vehicle. Being associated with royalty does wonders for the brand.”
Pippa, for her book and a regular column she has nabbed with The Telegraph has copped the most criticism. But, the rest of the Middletons haven’t escaped unscathed.
Ma and Pa Middleton have been lambasted for including ‘Little Prince’ and ‘Little Princess’ packs as well as Royal Wedding and Queen Diamond Jubilee paraphernalia on their party supplies website.
As for the supposed Range Rover deal, which sees the whole Middleton crew kitted out with top of the line cars, worth around $250,000 each, a spokesman for the company told The Mail Online: ‘We do not comment on our relationship with any of our customers.’
The Middleton family was not available for comment.
