In her quest for fame, no obstacle is too great for socialite-cum-publicist Roxy Jacenko, one of the latest recruits for this year's Celebrity Apprentice series, currently being filmed in Sydney. However not all spotlights are welcomed by Jacenko, who has been mute on the subject of her new husband, Oliver Curtis, being charged with conspiracy to commit insider trading.
Curtis, who could not be contacted, faces up to five years in jail if found guilty. His former friend John Hartman spent time in Silverwater jail, where PS hears he was appointed chief librarian, after pleading guilty to insider trading in 2010.
Hartman's sentencing sent chills through Sydney's establishment circles, as his father is the society obstetrician Keith Hartman, deliverer of Packer and Murdoch babies.
Curtis was in court on Tuesday, the same day it was revealed Jacenko would be one of the contestants on the Channel Nine television series, alongside Dawn Fraser, Stephanie Rice, The Voice diva Prinnie Stevens, Big Brother runner-up Layla Subritzky, Dancing With The Stars's Kym Johnson, Prue MacSween, Rob Mills, former TV host Peter Everett, comic Peter Berner, rocker Brian Mannix and former AFL star Dermott Brereton.
And while compared to her co-stars Jacenko is an unknown, she has managed to capture the attention of PS's moles from deep inside the show.
They report Jacenko, a self-confessed control freak, was unimpressed with Nine's hair and make-up artists and is now bringing her own team on set to make sure she looks good.
She has also been arriving with several suitcases filled with designer clothes, much to the bemusement of some of her co-stars. ''She is showing true potential be a bit of a diva,'' one observer noted.
