He is known to be a big fan of her music, so it was no doubt a happy new year for James Packer when his squeeze, Mariah Carey, took to stage at his Melbourne Crown casino on Thursday night.
Wearing a cleavage-boosting, figure-hugging, jewel-encrusted white gown, Carey serenaded the sold-out party.
The Fantasy singer had no less than three outfit changes during the performance, each glittering gown showing off her curvy figure, as well as the decade-old diamond butterfly ring she has been sporting on her wedding finger.
Her gambling king pin boyfriend gleamed with pride as Carey belted out many of her hits for a room filled with movers and shakers, including another pair of lovebirds foreign minister Julie Bishop and her beau, David Panton, along with former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett.
Packer's mother Ros was also in the audience for the show, which comes just one week after the 10th anniversary of the death of Kerry Packer.
"I'm so excited to be in Melbourne with James for New Year's Eve," the 45-year-old blandly told the Herald Sun on Thursday.
Carey was also clearly excited to be back in Australia, posting a throwback photo of her holding a koala to Instagram.
After Packer, 48, took to the stage to introduce his girlfriend of six months, Carey gushed.
"Spectacular, handsome ... I don't even have words for the man who introduced me tonight," Carey cooed, "we'll just say the amazing Mr James Packer."
After their stay in Melbourne, Packer and Carey are due in Sydney with plans for a trip to the family's country estate Ellerston in the Hunter Valley in coming days.
His three children from his marriage to second wife Erica Packer — Indigo, 7, Jackson, 5, and Emmanuelle, 3, are expected to join them as well as Carey's four-year-old twins with ex-husband, Nick Cannon, Monroe and Moroccan.
