The next show for Fashion Banquet is Toi et Moi, a label that likes to take its cues from Parisian street chic, with an Aussie touch. Designer Gill Lawrence showed loads of stripes, 70s-style fabrics, cool printed skinny jeans, a bit of shimmer and plenty of nonchalant, laid-back looks.
The vibe was unmistakably French, mais oui, so it was all the kind of gear Jane Birkin could slouch around in.
Meanwhile - are kids the new black? There are plenty of pint-sized fashionistas about. Some are in the audience, ostensibly the children of designers. Others are on the runway.

The Camilla show got rapturous applause when the designer took her bow with a posse of adorable children with flower garlands on their precious heads.
Toi et Moi began its show with a little girl crooning in French, accompanied by a guitar-playing adult. You've got to make it to Australian Fashion Week before you finish primary school.
