As well as preparing to showcase at this year’s Perth Fashion Festival, Morrison and Kylie Radford - the woman at the helm and hem of the label - are taking on the US.
After making adjustments to the upcoming spring/summer 2012-13 collection and sending it to her new US-based management team late last week, Ms Radford said she was looking forward to the Morrison look targeting a specific market in Los Angeles and New York.
"We don't want to take over the world. We just want to align ourselves with key retailers to start with," she told WAtoday.com.au.
While landing celebrity fans will be the key to cracking the US market, here are WAtoday.com.au's predictions of soon-to-be Morrison fans:
LAUREN CONRAD:
The Hills star, author and fashion designer is renowned for her California casual chic style – a cornerstone of the Morrison look. Coincidently the Conrad Maxi dress sold out around Australia.
NICOLE RICHIE:
The queen of boho will no doubt work some of Morrison's soft fabrics and relaxed silhouettes into her designer wardrobe.
BLAKE LIVELY:
The Gossip Girl star and new Mrs Reynolds rocks a sweater dress and bold, block colour like a boss so she'll be sure to send her staff out to pick up a selection from Morrison.
RACHEL BILSON:
The Hart of Dixie star loves to channel the "model off duty" look in her down time so Morrison's basic T-shirts, printed miniskirts and oversized T-shirts would be her bag.
KATIE HOLMES:
The former Mrs Cruise has a style which is one part Jackie O, one part Audrey Hepburn – her in a leather Morrison midi skirt would be a marriage made in fashion heaven.
Morrison will present a special capsule collection at Perth Fashion Festival to commemorate the WA brand’s decade of design.
Perth Fashion Festival kicks off tonight with One Fell Swoop showing at the Perth Town Hall.
