WHO Sam Willersdorf, 30
I AM a visual merchandiser, personal trainer and budding photographer.
I AM WEARING a shirt from Shag in Centre Way Arcade, my shoes are by Native from a store on Little Collins Street, and my pants are from Hunter Gatherer.
MY STYLE IS changing all the time. Today, I'm a bit of a Pina Colada-sipping cruise ship-goer.
I ADMIRE THE STYLE OF Thom Browne. He's well tailored, masculine and wears outrageous prints. Betsey Johnson because she wears an absolute mishmash of colours, styles and textures from all eras and pulls it of with style.
MY FAVOURITE LABELS ARE Walter van Beirendonck and Bernhard Willhelm. They make clothing that challenges convention and they have great use of colour with cartoon-inspired designs. Givenchy because of their prints and tailoring.
MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP IS op shops and second-hand stores because you can pick up little gems, anything from high-end designer labels to fantastic, and hideous, clothing from all eras.
MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE WAS mesh shirts, but it's not that bad, is it?
WHEN I WAS A KID, I used to dress up as Superman; I loved capes. And I went through this phase where I wore my mum's rah-rah skirts.
I WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN mass-produced, disposable, on-trend fashion with no social or environmental conscience.
