Street seen

I AM a costume buyer for the Malthouse Theatre.

I AM WEARING boots from a vintage store in Paris, these pants (that my sister bought me) are from an op shop, and this bag (which my grandmother bought me) is by Ruby Star Traders. This shirt was for a San Cisco film clip that didn't get used, so I kept it, and my earrings are from the Brotherhood of St Laurence.

MY STYLE IS vintage mishmash.

I ADMIRE THE STYLE OF Frankie Valentine. She's a burlesque dancer and has the most amazing and flawless vintage aesthetic.

MY FAVOURITE LABELS ARE Gorman, I like their country-meets-urban look and their use of colour. For men, I like Jack London because it's slick, contemporary and has fun patterns.

MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP IS the Brotherhood of St Laurence off Lygon Street in Brunswick. You can actually see them donating to people in need as you shop there and the clothes are still at op shop prices, which is refreshing. I also have a soft spot for Retrostar because it was the first vintage store I ever found.

MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE IS when I try to wear fashionable, on-trend clothes, it never works out for me.

WHEN I WAS A KID I tucked my T-shirt into my tight sports shorts and I rocked them with Blundstones. If I wore that outfit now, I'd be cool. I guess I was just ahead of my time.

I WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD in hot pants. My skin is too pale for that much leg to be showing.
