WHO PARIS BARTLEY, 33
I AM in retail.
I AM WEARING a skirt from Toolz on Smith Street, a T-shirt from an op shop and sandals from Rubi Shoes. My beads are by Elk and my sunnies are by Karen Walker.
MY STYLE IS comfortable and easy.
I ADMIRE THE STYLE OF Agyness Deyn. I like her androgynous look and how her outfits are well thought out but not fastidious.
MY FAVOURITE LABEL is Gorman because I can buy one piece and wear it many different ways by mixing (them) with op shop items. I'm very trash and treasure. I'll get things from an op shop just to make other pieces work, so I'm not really loyal to any label.
MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP IS Lupa in Westgarth because all their stock is handmade in Melbourne and you can find those great single pieces you can wear heaps of different ways. And Sacred Heart Mission in St Kilda - it's a good op shop where you can find anything from the greatest '80s leather jacket to simple T-shirts.
MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE WAS cargo pants. They're very unflattering and bulk up the thighs. What were we thinking?
WHEN I WAS A KID I used to dress up in my mum's silver heels and lipstick.
I WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN short shorts. No one needs to see that on anyone.
