WHO AMY FRANZ, 31
I AM a musician and jewellery wholesaler.
I AM WEARING jeans from Zara in Hong Kong, a shirt from Oh Henry in Perth, boots from RetroStar, and this bag is from Vintage Garage on Smith Street. My sunnies are from Fat at the GPO.
MY STYLE is predominantly vintage easy wear.
I ADMIRE THE STYLE OF Jane Birkin; she has a really beautiful understated elegance.
MY FAVOURITE LABELS are Karla Way, a jewellery designer - it's really adventurous and has a lot of her character. I love the latest Yves Saint Laurent collection, which harks back to the '70s, with big billowy sleeves, oversize hats and plunging V-necks.
MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP IS in the Nicholas Building in the CBD - there are a lot of designers in there and I love going through that building. Gertrude Street and Smith Street in Collingwood have a lot of great vintage stores, such as Vintage Garage, Lost & Found Market and the Smith Street Bazaar.
MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE WAS getting a full-length wraparound batik skirt caught in an escalator at a Perth train station in peak hour. I had to get cut out of it because it was all chewed up.
WHEN I WAS A KID I used to get dressed up as a rockabilly. I had a full circle skirt with midriff tops and a quiff. My brothers and sisters used to take me out to their gigs all dressed up.
I WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN nothing; everything is worth a go once.
