WHO Alice Williams, 25

I AM studying international relations.

I AM WEARING a skirt of a '70s wedding frock from Evandale market in Tasmania, a denim jacket from a retro market in Seattle and shoes from an op shop in LA. My pearls were a gift from a friend and my bag is from an op shop in South Launceston.

MY STYLE IS eclectic, slightly nostalgic and theatrical.

I ADMIRE THE STYLE OF Rihanna. I love her new-wave vintage pin-up look. I love Lady Gaga's style but not her music; it's pop-culture influenced and really unashamed.

MY FAVOURITE LABELS I'm not really a label girl but I love the influence Chanel had on fashion. I love her quote: ''Fashion changes, but style endures.''

MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP are op shops, especially the ones in northern Tasmania because you can still get quality pieces at reasonable prices. The market in Melbourne has changed because there are so many retro stores that are going in and buying and reselling at high prices. It's also because more people are into vintage here so it disappears off the shelves quicker.

MY BIGGEST FASHION MISTAKE WAS a USA college jumper with hipster flares in powder pink with silver studs all the way down the sides of the legs. But with every mistake comes a valuable lesson.

WHEN I WAS A KID I was always wanting to be a witch. I had a black cat and I'd pretend he was my assistant.

I WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN glasses with no lenses. There's not even any protective value.
