  • Rihanna's new castle features a glass staircase.
  • It was designed by award winning architect David Lawrence Gray.
  • Open spaced living room complete with fireplace.
  • Stainless steel kitchen.
  • Billiard room.
  • A screen room featuring a bar and dining table.
  • A full home gym.
  • A view of the house from the pool and accompanying 12 person spa.
  • Master bedroom
  • A covered walkway that connects with the guest house.
  • Glass features are a constant throughout the home.

Rihanna has moved out of her $US15-million mansion and rented another home in Los Angeles for $US60,000 ($64,000) per month in an attempt to ward off stalkers.

The house – which was built in 1996 for a German businessman who requested "privacy, rest and repose" – boasts seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 18-metre-high ceilings, according to real estate agency Haus Angeles, which refers to it as "The Fortress" because of its industrial-looking interiors and concrete-and-steel walls.

The three-level main house (there is also a guest house on the 2000-square-metre property) can function as an art gallery thanks to its high ceilings, and boasts a state-of-the-art kitchen designed and decked out by the Porsche Design Group.

Downstairs, there is a gym, three-car garage, sauna and 12-person spa. Upstairs, the master bedroom – complete with two showers and spa baths – was designed to "feel like a yacht, with burl wood added for warmth".

Lady Gaga lives down the street from this "modern acropolis".

Rihanna's move follows two separate safety incidents last year. The 26-year-old singer took out a restraining order against a man who broke into her neighbour's house after assuming it was hers. Another man was then caught crawling on the roof of her former home.
