The NASA star was part of a team of astronauts who, this week, carried out an impromptu patch-up job outside the International Space Station, after a vital piece of cloth shielding floated away.
As the world's oldest female astronaut at 57, she has now officially set a new record for the most spacewalks undertaken by a woman.
Dr Whitson now has eight tours under her belt and has spent more than 53 hours spacewalking, which is probably even more time Michael Jackson spent moonwalking, longer than Sandra Bullock was floating around in Gravity and is most definitely more space time than the last lady record holder.
Sunita Williams has previously clocked up 50 hours and 40 minutes outside the Earth's orbit.
This latest trip to space was Dr Whitson's third, however she has spent about 500 days in outer space, where she enjoys eating gelatin that resembles something from Futurama.
Her last space walk was in January where she was supported by Shane Kimbrough, Thomas Pesquet. Sidenote, her guns are more impressive than Madonna's.
