LISA ALBERT AND VINCENT LAMBERTI
THEIR NEW PROPERTY, DAYLESFORD, VIC

The meeting
Lisa and Vincent met ten years ago when she walked into his music shop in Fitzroy. “I was given a drum in Africa a few months prior and wanted to learn how to tune it,” says Lisa. Vincent knew as soon as she walked in the door that he wanted to get her number, so he convinced her that the drum needed repairing. “To me, the thought of returning to see this guy again was appealing,” she says. It wasn’t until they started dating, four months later, that she actually got her drum back. “For both of us, we knew on that day something had changed our lives forever but could not imagine the journey we were about to commence”.

The proposal
In order to propose, Vincent took Lisa back to a spot they had been to when they first started dating. “On a spring day in 2001, utterly enraptured by Lisa and desperate to impress her, I coerced her to take a trip down the Nepean Highway with me to where I spent my family holidays,” says Vincent. He had made her a bracelet out of grass ten years prior and then at the very same spot, he proposed.

The wedding day
After recently buying a property in Daylesford they decided it would be a great place to hold their wedding. “To have our wedding there was a dream,” says Lisa. They had 100 guests share with them on the day and after the ceremony were guided to the reception marquee by an accordion player. “The sense of surprise on the guests' faces as they saw the marquee set up in a paddock was a great feeling,” says Lisa. “And of course the pride and happiness on Vincent's face when I arrived to the ceremony is unforgettable”.

The dress
Lisa wore a couture gown with panelled ruching details on the corset bodice with an ivory silk chiffon and satin skirt. It featured two straps with lace and beaded detailing. It was the Riviera gown designed by Rosalynn Win Haute Couture.

The cake
Rather than have a wedding cake, they decided to have a table full of desserts for their guests to choose from.

The honeymoon
They are planning to go to Calabria in Italy next year.
