HEATHER CLARKE AND ANDRE TESCHENDORF
THE PRINCE, ST KILDA, VIC
Andre (Tesch) and Heather went to school together many years before they got together but they were not close friends. "We reunited three years ago at a mutual friend's party," says Heather. "Tesch moved in a few months later and here we are!" says the 37 year-old. "It's really wonderful being together and just feels 'right'. We have the same approach to the big things and are happy to argue about the small ones!"
"The proposal was really lovely," says Heather. It happened while they were away for her birthday in the Yarra Valley. Andre had booked a cottage for the weekend and he popped the question outside.
The wedding day
"The wedding was fabulous! So much fun," she says. The day was full of creativity and was set to a vintage/art deco theme. Their 176 guests were treated to full food and drink service half an hour before the ceremony began on The Deck of The Prince hotel. "We had a stunning solo Bach cello piece for the entrance and two opera singers, Paul Hughes & Judith Dodsworth, perform with a string quartet during the signing," says Heather. After the ceremony they celebrated at the Circa restaurant in the hotel and enjoyed a three course meal with more live music. While they ate, DJ Alex Jack played with various musicians who took them partying into the night. "Painter, Samantha Lord, painted the wedding as it took place. She painted the room, key guests, us etc...now have a wonderful painting in our living room as a reminder of the wedding," says Heather.
Heather wore a knee-length Dolce and Gabbana dress - a fine black lace over a nude silk camisole. The camisole was from Collette Dinnigan as the original one was black. She wore it with Chanel shoes.
The cake had two tiers - the first tier was white chocolate and raspberry and the second was a rich chocolate. It was decorated with an ivory frosting, ribbons and fresh flowers. It was made by Elizabeth at Cioccolata Bella in Prahran.

They are going on a safari in Africa.
