PHILLIP AND ANGIE GEURS
SUNDOWNER TIONA, PACIFIC PALMS, NSW
After Angie finished school she moved to Sydney from Lennox Head. “It was there I met Phillip on a night out in Bondi and it was love at first sight,” says Angie. He was wearing a fluoro pink shirt which caught her attention from across the room.
While they were away on a family holiday in Bali, Phil made a romantic proposal. “He designed the ring himself, and got it made by the same jeweller who made my mother’s wedding rings,” she says.
The wedding day
They had planned an outdoor ceremony with a bohemian, gypsy theme. “It rained for a week straight leading up to our big day. 15 minutes before I walked down the aisle the sun started peeking through the trees and it turned into the most magical summer’s afternoon and evening,” she says. Their 112 guests were treated to a four-piece band, The Myall High Club and a Mexican style buffet with catering by Eat Creative Catering Solutions.
Angie wore a flowing A-line, silk and lace gown with thin straps. It was designed by Lisa Cashmore.
They had mint mud, caramel and white chocolate cupcakes. They were made by Prue Gray from Oh So Yummy in Ballina.
The photos were taken by a friend, Trevor King.
They went to Hawaii for two weeks.
