The meeting
Georgina and Chris met seven years ago at a Sydney bar while they were both out with friends. They established they had lots in common and that they had both grown up in the same suburb – Windsor. “While everyone else was drinking on, we were enjoying each other's company so much that we decided to leave and grab a coffee instead!” says Georgina. “I feel so lucky to have met such a wonderful and generous person and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us both,” she says.

The proposal
Chris proposed while they were away on a holiday in Santorini in Greece in September 2010. “We had just returned to our villa after a beautiful dinner, when Chris dropped to one knee and proposed with the most beautiful Tiffany ring,” says Georgina. After celebrating with a bottle of Moet they were quick to share the news with family. “The news was much relief to my mother, whom had known Chris' intention since he asked for her permission back in April,” she says.

The wedding day
They made their vows in front of 100 guests at St Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney’s inner-city. “The feelings of nervousness and excitement I shared with my father as I held his hand on our way to the ceremony in the wedding car, is a moment I will always cherish...Once I entered the Cathedral and saw Chris waiting at the altar, my nerves soon disappeared and I couldn't wait to be up there next to him,” says Georgina. They celebrated with guests afterwards at the Sebel Pier One and danced the night away.

The dress
Georgina wore an ivory, strapless, fishtail gown featuring Swarovski crystal detailing on the bodice and skirt line. It was a Wendy Sullivan design from Brides Desire.

The cake
The cake had four-tiers – white chocolate raspberry, hazelnut and chocolate flavoured cakes. It was decorated with ivory fondant icing and sugar roses. It came from Celebration Cakes in Canterbury.

The photography
The photos were taken by Photography by Nadean.

The honeymoon
They spent three weeks in the USA - San Francisco, Napa Valley and Maui.
