NAB Cup updates, Saturday March 2

    Date

Live: 1 min 30 secs until this page automatically reloads.

    Updates from 2.30pm.

Adelaide takes its strongest available squad to Geelong as the Crows search for the combination to take it two steps further in 2013.

With an injury scourge decimating its ruck stocks, Geelong will get a chance to examine its least experienced talls, and a swathe of youngsters seeking senior positions will be out to impress.

Also today: Gold Coast v North Melbourne, Townsville, 4.30pm; GWS v Brisbane, Wagga, 7pm; Essendon v Richmond, Wangaratta, 5.10pm; Carlton v Fremantle, etihad Stadium, 7.40pm

    • Since 1987 thre have been 38 AFL premiership matches with lower attendances than the 7,068 for the 2012 NAB Cup fixture between Greater Western Sydney and Brisbane in Wagga Wagga.

      1 was in Darwin.
      1 was in Brisbane
8 were in Sydney including three of GWS' premiership fixtures in 2012.
      13 were in Melbourne
15 were in the Gold Coast

    • I have been rapped in the way footy has been played out this weekend, my team may not have won, but sure can see a big margin between clubs, and how close are GC and GWS from performing in the season proper? I think 2013 will see some major changes in ladder positioning compared to previous 4-5 seasons.
