    • Forty scoring shots to the Crows. Not bad given its away and the injuries. Twenty goals. That is reasonably good for one afternoon's work.

        • Fantastic effort from longtime Crows supporter and current Crow Eddie Betts. 5 today. Adelaide has a habit of helping Carlton with champions. Betts, Kernahan and Bradley. Thats OK. You are welcome. Glad to prop up some of the victimised Victorian clubs.

          • The Hawks will be very tough next week after the North loss. Almost impossible actually with ex Crow Gunston kicking a bag in their loss. Crows have a day's less rest but at least we are in Adelaide on Port's home ground.

            • Ex Crow Kurt Tippett nurtured by the Crows and lured by big money that we don't whine about (the way Hawks whined about Buddy) would have made the Crows nearly unbeatable. But we don't think of him as ex Crow Kurt. We think of him as a Swan. When are the Carlton supporters going to let go psychologically of ex Blue Eddie Betts who grew up in SA supporting the Crows?

              • Be by a couple of years ago, when Power were a basket case, crows got two games guaranteed likely wins because of the policy interstate teams must play the other team in that state twice.

                • fox hat. I know that better than you I am a supporter. I clearly meant what if Tex and Danger score a bag each on the same day?
Yes Paddy is amazing every week. Today he was injured. I was talking about goal scoring and if he and Tex turn on goals on the same day. Thank you for your concern and deep affection for the Crows; an affection you no doubt share with me.

              • Half way through third quarter. The Crows who beat the top team last week, can't lose from here. 14 goals to five. GWS cannot win from here. Supporters but not players can start thinking about the Hawks next week. One days less rest to the Crows fair enough luck of the draw; but don't expect the Victorian media to even mention it.

                • At least the Victorian media, when they vote for player awards give it across all 18 teams. Here in WA and likely SA the media awards go only to players of teams in the State. Thier yet to realise here that the Eagles and Dockers are not the only teams in the AFL

You disposed for Eddy then get sentimental like he is a Blue at heart. He grew up going for the Crows where his heart is. He is not a Blue any more. We bought him. You got the money.

                • We are not whining about the 25-12 free count today either.

                  Um, yes you are.

                • Be my he is a Blue at heart. He had family issues and went home. Carlton could have offered more than the Crows he still would have left. He played enough games to always be a respected Carlton player. If it was the go home factor, we would have lost him long ago. Forgive me for praising someone I rate as a good player and refuse to bag

                • Benny, frees seriously that old chestnut. What do you want, frees given as per laws of game and umpire interpretations or each 1/4 the umps are told to even up the frees to ensure at games end both have same count of frees. I can see it now last minute off Carlton Crows game, Crows 5 points up and 1 free up. Balls in Carltons forward line, ump gives Carlton a free to ensure both teams end with same free count, Carlton Goals and wins hmmm brilliant

If only it was dry and 28oc and the reserve and members turned up there would be at least 30000 here.Oh and only if the last remaining Cheer squad member bothered to support his beloved code there would probably be less as hes soooo interesting.

                • den3ng, why are you so insecure about Aussie Rules you need to bag it here, that's sad. Sorry you will not convince Aussie rules fans of your views, just as Aussie rules fans will never convince or convert supporters of other codes by bagging them on thier sites think about it.

                • You got good service from the SA born Eddie Betts who grew up barracking for the Crows and came to them as soon as he could. BTW you are welcome for the loan

                • Benny, Crows have got good service from many Victorians? What's your point. When Betts went to the crows I emailed the club asking them to pass on my best wishes, thank him for the enjoyment he gave me and saying hope the crows supporters enjoy it. All I said is he is a good player and we are not as good without him. By the way the Victorians that ensured Crows to flags our pleasure. What State provides the most AFL recruits Victoria. My God we split the State into Vic Metro and Vic Country when the under 18s play against SA. Friendly tip, don't raise the SA players in Vic teams as if you look in Power and Crows plenty of Vics. That's how the draft works. Smile

                • Thanks for the homily- its nearly Sunday right? I am talking about how Betts every time he does something good he is an ex-Blue. Every week we see it. Pay attention and you will see its true. What Carlton figure has done as much for SA as Kernahan and Bradley did for Carlton? Thanks for the smile I return it to you. We both love footy and its the code that counts. We have the best game in the world and we love it in SA as much as you do. We are bit bitter about all the floggings the big V gave our state team for about 50 years. Hope you can understand the chip on the shoulder. Smile back from me and have a nice weekend.

              • Considering the Lions problems with losing quality players to the "go home factor" coupled with key injuries this year, if I supported them I'd be pleased, they have often played good football for patches. It looks like Leppitsch could be a quality Coach they may rise up the ladder in coming years sooner than we may expect.

And then there was all that ankle tapping later on.
