      • Go Blues and Cuts both Ways - ignore Jim, he's just winding you up. The bluebaggers have had a reasonable year; but for a few close losses, they too would be pushing for a finals berth. They have both Port and the Dons remaining; neither will look forward to the game that could decide their finals chances.

      • Cuts both ways. I agree. I get bagged for praising opposition players and teams. Eg Geelong, I respect the culture and success built since 2007, they have a top recruiting team and first class player development. Last night I "hated" the cats with a passion whilst enjoying the game and performances of both teams.

        Tough night for Carlton last night, especially with the umpires admitting their mistake. A draw probably wouldn't have made an awful lot of difference to Geelong in the end, given our percentage will never elevate us above the other two.

      • Ah Mr Fox, you are right Essendon played poorly in the first half. It was clear though that they only needed to play at 60 percent to beat the Eagles. After a difficult week the fine young men of EFC showed their quality.

      • the game was being fought hard .then the umpires give essendon a dubious free kick when the eagles looked set to kick a goal with 2 minutes remaining.and they wonder why attendances are falling.i want to watch a game not a decision by an umpire
