Live: Lions vs Magpies

Tonight we're live from the Gabba as Brisbane hosts a resurgent Collingwood outfit. Read on for live updates from the ground:

As if the Lions didn't have enough on their hands, tonight marks Alan Didak's return to the Collingwood forward line after an abductor injury struck him down in pre-season.

Preamble: Welcome to a fresh autumn night here at the Gabba for what is a critical game for the Lions so early in the season. A win against the Magpies - on the cusp of the eight and on a three-game winning streak - would be just the the tonic to get AFL season 2012 on track for Brisbane. In contrast to Collingwood's recent tear, the Lions have been rolled by Geelong and Essendon in their past two outings. The home side will be bouyed by the two sides' last contest here at the Gabba though, a round-10 clash in which Brisbane rolled the eventual premiers.
