    Full-time: Sydney 2-1

Sydney leapfrog the Victory into third, a point behind the Wanderers, while the Heart remain rooted to the foot of the table.

Commiserations to the Heart. You'd like to think if they could have the XI that finished the game on for minutes together they wouldn't be where they are.

Thanks for joining our live coverage and be sure to log on to for all the wash-up from Round 10 and the overnight news from England and Europe. Good night.

94th min: A bit of push and shove in the corner between Behich and Chianese. Heart try to break out but Chianese heads for the corner to eat up seconds. And again. The whistle goes and Sydney claim the points but how lucky were they.

Had Kewell not tried to dig a hole with his left boot things could have been so much different as the Heart really turned it on in the last 20 minutes but with no reward. If only they'd played like that for a bit more of the game.

    Sydney 2-1

92 min: Mebrhatu almost broke through but Ryall's last ditch tackle denied him.

Heart win a free kick but Mebrahtu's header loops over. Sydney 2-1

90th min: McFlynn surges into the box but his shot is tame and straight at Redmayne. Heart go straight down the other end but Janjetovic is able to cut out the cross. He has had a good game for the hosts.

4 minutes to be added but time running out for the Heart to salvage something. Sydney 2-1

88th min: Williams breaks down the left finds that man Mifsud again in the box and he tries to turn but has his pocket picked by the Sydney defence. Sydney 2-1

86 min: Golgol forces a save out of Janjetovic with his first touch. The Heart have a corner but the header loops over. Sydney 2-1

85th min: Giarcia surges down the right and drives a dangerous flat cross in but it is deflected behind for a goal kick. Sydney 2-1

84th min: Golgol Mebrahtu about to come on for Heart as Sydney have a free kick. Petkovic switches wide to Abbas but he is closed down by Kewell on the bye line and Heart have a goal kick. Kisnorbo comes off for Golgol.

     Sydney 2-1

81st min: Williams has another dig from distance straight at Janjetovic. Mifsud has been at the Heart (ahem) of everything as they've had to 10 shots to Sydney's 0 this half.

McFlynn on for Despotovic as Farina looks to shore up his defence.

    Sydney 2-1

79th min: They were nearly in again as Williams and then Dugandzic had shots but desperate defence blocked both.

Then Behich forces save out of Janjetvic. They are absolutely peppering Sydney.

    Sydney 2-1

78th min: Kewell's free kick doesn't clear the first man and it's end to end stuff as Yau's cross is cut out and the nippy Mifsud again is released. The ball drops kindly to him but his first touch is too heavy and he closed down by the keeper and two defenders. A big let off when he looked to have an open goal at his mercy. Sydney 2-1

76th minute: How costly will Kewell's miss prove to be for the Heart?

Mifsud steals the ball from the Sydney defence and set up another counter attack but Kewell's pass is too heavy but they win a free kick out side on the left. Sydney 2-1

74th min: Here they come again. Heart win a free kick and the ball drops to Mifsud in the box. He finds himself clear but blazes over the top. We're in for quite a finish here. Sydney 2-1

Lovely one touch build-up with a flick over the top by Murdocca to find Mifsud, who looked offside but rounded the keeper and tucked away his first A-League goal. Sydney 2-1

72nd minute: GOAL! HEART Mifsud 2-1

71st minute: Mifsud sees yellow after cleaning up Despotovic late. Ouch. A few challenges starting to fly in. Might not be long before someone sees red at this rate. Sydney 2-0

68th min: Oh dear. You have to feel for John Aloisi and he Heart, they cannot take a trick.

Then Sydney almost go down the other end and score after Yau fires an arrow-like low cross across the box that only needed a touch but is ruled offside.

This game is getting spicy. Sydney 2-0

Kewell steps up and after a bit of push and shove on the edge of the box ...

Misses!! Pulled wide. What a shocker. Thumped it into the ground and it bobbled wide.

    Sydney 2-0

65th min: That looked more like pent-up frustration from weeks out than deliberate from Kewell, trying too hard to win the ball.

Heart have a free kick wide on the left just outside the box.

Kalmar hits the wall and its a ahandball by Chianese no problem.

    Sydney 2-0

63rd min: Kewell involved in a tete a tete with Petkovic after a lunge on Emerton. That was nasty. Lucky not to get a card there. Sydney 2-0

61st min: Heart win another corner, taken by Williams who tries to pick out Kewell. He gets crunched and it goes for goal kick. Harry's not happy. Sydney 2-0

59th min: Harry gets a touch but the attack breaks down. Already the Heart look livelier with more zip around the field since Harry came on.

Behich wins the first corner of the game would you believe. Dugandzic curls it in but the ref spots a foul in the box and Sydney get a free kick.

    Sydney 2-0

56th min: Here comes Harry! Kewell about to come on as Williams hits a shot from the wide left but it flies high and wide.

After struggling for any shots for the first half hour, the Heart have had three in almost as many minutes, Sydney 2-0

54th min: Murdocca lets fly from distance and the ball takes a deflection but not enough to beat Janjetovic.

Then Migliorini has all the time in the world to line up a dipper from just outside the box but again Janjetivoc takes a comfortable catch. Sydney 2-0

53rd min: Petkovic and Dugandzic clash with Scrabble the loser. More of the same as both teams try to rediscover their rhythm after the break, if they have any. Tackles starting to fly in. Sydney 2-0

50th min: Abbas robs Murdocca deep in the Sydney half and tears off up the wing and almost lays on a peach of a ball for Chianese but it is cut off. Two of Sydney's best most consistent performers right there. Sydney 2-0

48th min: Looks like a precautionary sub for Del Piero with Sydney 2-0 up and looking comfortable. The Italian has earned it.

46th min: Yairo Yau on for Matt Thompson for Sydney as well and the speedster straight into the action. Sydney 2-0

45 min: Welcome back for the second half. Heart to kick off with Dugandzic on for Ramsay but no Kewell as yet. Emerton on and Del Piero off for Sydney. That's a shame. Sydney 2-0

Half-time: Not the best half of football you'll see, especially with the surface cut up by a herd of Taylor Swift fans, but the game burst to life with those two rapid-fire goals from Sydney FC.

Heart had started work their way into the match but looked very ineffective in the final third.

Cue H. Kewell perhaps? Migliorini has looked ordinary and they desperately need a kick start.

Join us again in 10 minutes or so.

    Sydney 2 Heart 0

44th min: Crazy stuff. A goal-bound shot had cannoned into Abbas' back and rebounded back to Despotovic, who unleashed a shot. Redmayne almost blocked with his legs but it squirmed through to make it 2-0 in the blink of an eye.

Yellow card to Ryall meanwhile for a high challenge by Seb Ryall on little Mass Murdocca.

    Sydney 2-0

    GOAL! 2-0 SYDNEY FC. Despotovic

Wow. A little jink, drop of the shoulder and two defenders drop like nine pins as he squeezes a low shot inside Redmayne's near post.

A goal out of nothing really. Moments earlier at the other end Williams had cut off another wayward pass across defence and hared off towards goal only to unleash what we could only describe as a front pass straight to the keeper.

On such moments do matches turn. Sydney 1-0

43rd min: GOAL Sydney! Del Piero magic. 1-0

37th min: Bojic brings down Williams and there was a hint of a sly stamp there as well. He got away with it but would want to be careful with match reviews. 0-0

34th min: Big shout for handball as Chinese released Thompson down the right and he clipped a cross that hit Murdocca's outstretched arm inside the box. He had turned away from the ball though, which might have been a factor.

Another free kick is taken by Del Piero and he goes for goal with a dipper from all of 35m out but it drops just wide. Audacious. 0-0

32nd min: And another card, to Migliorini for kicking the ball away as Bojic looked to take a quick free kick after Sydney broke out following another thwarted Heart attack. That was just silly. 0-0

31st min: First yellow of the game to Hoffman, who dragged back Garcia as he sought to break down the line for Sydney. Cynical professional foul and would be in the bin for 10 if Michel Platini had his way. 0-0

29th min: Sadly the gulf in class between Del Piero and the other 19 outfielders is all too apparent every time he touches the ball, which isn't nearly enough for Sydney FC. 0-0

26th min: While Sydney look compact and organised the Heart have way too much space between their lines, meaning the forwards are isolated and the balls to them easily cut off.

With two touches Del Piero shows his class, drawing a defender and releasing Chianese down the flank. Even though the cross was far to deep to no one, the build-up was a joy to watch. 0-0

23rd min: Del Piero cops a stray boot but appears OK. 0-0

21st min: Almost a horrible mistake for the Heart after Migliorini was in lala land when a free kick was played back to him and Despotovic pounced but blazed his shot high and wide. 0-0

19th min: A lovely first time sand wedge from Murdocca releases Mifsud but he went a fraction too early and is flagged offside. He could do with a goal.

Then Behich drills a dangerous low cross into the Sydney box but it's thumped clear for a throw. Heart looking better after being starved of the ball for so long. 0-0

17th min: Kalmar's switch finds Ramsay deep on the right for the Heart and he crosses to Migliorini but the final pass is too heavy. Better build-up from the Heart. 0-0

14th min: Heart struggling to string two passes together at the moment as Sydney close them down in midfield. 0-0

12th min: Petkovic misjudges a long ball forward from the Heart and almost lets in Mifsud but Necevski is able to collect the loose ball. A let-off for Sydney FC. 0-0

10th min: Sydney have set up with two compact banks of four and the Heart don't seem to have many ideas but for the odd hopeful long ball to their forwards.

Sydney win a free kick about 30m out to taken by Del Piero. He finds Abbas out wide but he smashes a volley high and wide. Looked like a possible training ground move that one but ambitious. 0-0

8th min: Sydney FC stringing some passes together now and looking comfortable but one too many across the backline is intercepted by Mifsud who released Migliorini to take a shot from distance but he scuffs it. 0-0

6th min: Del Piero gets a touch or three and weaves his magic to release Abbas but his touch is heavy in the box and the Heart win a free.

Chianese looks lively down the other flank, the right and has made a couple of forays into the Heart's area. 0-0

4th min: A cagey start as both teams look to settle into their rhythm but both finding it difficult to penetrate a congested midfield. 0-0

1 min: Sydney FC kick off towards the Taylor Swift end and after a bit of head tennis in midfield Andrew Redmayne gets an early touch for the visitors and is reluctant to let go of it. 0-0

Team news: Andrea Migliorini wins a start ahead of Harry Kewell for the Heart and Brett Emerton is on the bench for Sydney FC.

    Kick-off a minute away.

A mouthwatering prospect is the match-up between the two No.10s, Alessandro Del Piero and Harry Kewell, hopefully both approaching full fitness again.

It will also be interesting to see when the Heart unleash their secret weapon, Italian Andrea Migliorini, who announced himself to the A-League with a pair of thunderbolts a couple of weeks back.

For Sydney, the return of their Australia marquee Brett Emerton is a timely boost, and there is quality across the park with both sides at or near full strength.

Looking forward to kick-off, just a few minutes away now.

Welcome to our live coverage of Sydney FC v Melbourne Heart. Shane Brady here with you for the next two hours for what should be a great game.

Sydney’s hot streak came to a halt at the Mariners last week at but they won’t be taking the luckless Heart lightly.

John Aloisi’s side has been threatening to break their drought with two draws against more fancied opponents, and they have a good record against the Sky Blues.
