FULL TIME - Melbourne Victory 1 (Finkler 90+4") drew Western Sydney Wanderers 1 (Santalab 71")
Gui Finkler's free kick after stoppage time had expired was enough to save a point for Melbourne Victory in front of 22,133 at AAMI Park.
Finkler won the free kick himself and then found the top left corner to deny Western Sydney Wanderers the three points.
Wanderers thought they were leaving Melbourne with a win after supersub Brendon Santalab scored just seconds after coming off the bench.
Victory spurned a number of chances in the first half, Connor Pain the worst offender.
Tahj Minniecon put in an inspired performance for Wanderers, including the assist for Santalab's goal.

Minniecon sent a ball in from the left where Appiah tried unsuccessfully three times to shoot at goal...he had Traore literally lying in front of him blocking each attempt! Eventually the ball spills to Haliti who is able to open up some space with his first touch, but then guided the ball across the face and out!

He sends a sweeping cross through the penalty area which Covic is drawn off his line for...Covic can't get there though! His dive misses the ball and Pain arrives with an open net staring him in the face!
But Pain can't hit it right! In his desperation to get to the ball he scuffs it into his own leg and takes it away from goal into the right hand side of the penalty area.
Such a promising move, but it goes to waste for the Victory.

Coe was able to tip it out for a corner...and then needed to punch the ball off the line as the inswinging corner went close to the line!

Sierra Leonian youngster Alusine Fofanah, who scored against Melbourne Heart in the NYL last weekend, has been promoted to the bench and could make his first A-League appearance tonight.
