The Roar beat Adelaide at home and move 10 points clear at the top of the league with five games to go. Three of those are at home and they are away to Sydney next week. It's going to make them very hard to catch if they hold their nerve. Berisha with a double, Jeronimo with a very late strike for Adelaide. And it should have been three for Brisbane but a goal for Broich was ruled not to have crossed the line, when it clearly did.
Berisha close again and it takes a ripping save from Galekovic to hold out his third. Came out of nowhere but he almost made them pay dearly. But here's a GOAL for Adelaide! Jeronimo with a special at the near post. Wow. It's 2-1 in stoppage time. And now it's GAME OVER.
Three minutes time added on here at Suncorp and Brisbane look happy to just defend and keep the clean sheet now. Don't expect anything fancy from there at the tail end of this game.
It's all gone a little scrappy here as we hit the 88th minute. Brisbane are going to win this one and move 10 points clear with five games to go. They will take some catching.
Brattan with the shot but it has as much power as a pushbike. I think he stubbed the toe into the turf as he swung, so not a great result all around there. Roar leading 2-0 and have nine or so minutes to hold out any Adelaide comeback.
Lustica on for Miller. About 12 minutes left in regulation and the Roar lead 2-0.
Adelaide still going ok here despite the 2-0 scoreline. Bit of an elephant in the room, clearly. But they're throwing everything at Brisbane who have numbers back in defence. Lustica about to come on for the Roar. No Slippery Fish, Mulvey? Explain. It's Fish time.
More hilarity. Mabil happens to track down an extra ball and whacks it into play, confusing many, infuriating a few Roar players (you'll never guess who!). No booking, Roar just start again. Thoroughly odd. Now Adelaide sail up the park and Jeronimo had a whimsical crack. Roar leading 2-0 and we have 17 minutes in regular time.
Adelaide flooding forward now. Could be Slippery Fish time for the Roar.
Osama Malik makes a bit of a meal of that opportunity. Adelaide haven't had many so they need to make hay while the suns shines, or pokes its head through the clouds occasionally. Roar up 2-0 and the game at their mercy you would think.
Brisbane ramping it up now. Adelaide chasing the game and for once, it's Brisbane with the luxury of being able to try and sting them on the counter attack. Roar up 2-0 as Corey Brown comes into the game for Jade North.
Wonderful interchange of passing from Broich to Berisha and the striker just slams it past Galekovic. He will be missed, but equally he will miss the sublime service of Broich. Brisbane sailing here now.
Referees will always opt for caution when it comes to close goals. It's far safer for them to disallow a goal rather than allow one that wasn't. Anyway, could be crucial if the Reds pinch one here.
We're back. Thomas Broich currently fastening a Go Pro to the crossbar at the Roar's new end.
And drama here.... the replay shows the Broich shot went in - and went well in at that. More than width over the line. Hit the crossbar and shot down, before spinning and bouncing out. Should have been 2-0 and that is a bad miss from officials. Time for replays.
CLOSE for the Roar! Broich comes to life! Smashed off the crossbar and almost clattered into the goal. Oh, so, close. Almost 2-0.
Another booking for Adelaide as Ferreira clips Broich from behind. He's having a funny old day the German, turning it over a few times. Was apparently battling an illness during the week and hasn't been his sharp self today. Roar up 1-0 approaching half time.
Booking here for McKain after showing the studs to Liam Miller. Midfield set piece here with Brattan over the top but well covered by the Reds.
Brisbane giving away some cheap ball here under strong pressure from Adelaide but Brisbane holding firm (ish) at the back.
Booking here for Brattan and Adelaide line up for the free right in front. The Roar wall assembles. Zullo moves in but the left boot lets him down as it curls well wide and over the top of Theo's goal. Roar still up 1-0.
Mike Mulvey said after the Perth game that if the Roar scored first, they'd really do a job on a rival. Let's see if that pans out. Suspect we may see a few goals here today. Adelaide looking dangerous despite conceding to Berisha.
Lovely goal from the Roar. Brilliant set up from Petratos, floated the cross to the far post for McKay who produced a lovely pass for Berisha, who made no mistake with the simple put in. Roar get the early break - it's been a while for them.
Adelaide have had 75% of the ball after 19 minutes here. Brisbane battling to get their feet on it at the moment. The Reds beating the home side at their own game. An injury scare for Franjic but he's back onto the park for the Roar.
So an intriguing little wait-and-see battle here at Suncorp as the Roar try to figure out a way to break down the Reds. They're content to play in front of them for now but Mulvey has been critical of them for not playing directly enough. They try that now and Petratos can't escape and dribbles over the sideline. No score after 15 minutes.
Zullo does well down the right and fires in the cross. No Reds in sight though and Theo watches it sail past harmlessly. No Djite for the Reds today and that loss will be felt. No score at Suncorp.
Brisbane dinking it around but that little raid comes to nothing as Adelaide clear out. The Roar were almost stung early on the counter by Perth last week and no doubt Adelaide have done their research.
So we are underway here in Brisbane. This could well be the game that decides the Premiers Plate. Adelaide in good shape as well - should be a good one. The Reds at the right end early and win an attacking throw.
Top of the afternoon folks. A cloudy day here in Brisbane with a few showers around but it shouldn't rain on Brisbane's parade if they roll the visiting Adelaide. A win today would put them about three lengths clear around the home turn in the race for the Premiership. And a late change for the Roar - Solorzano did a quad in the warm-up and is replaced by Corey Brown.
