Live: Canberra Raiders vs Gold Coast Titans

Lee Gaskin

Fulltime: Titans 38-26, try to Joel Thompson. The Raiders finished with a surge but it wasn't enough to stop a 12-point loss to the Gold Coast Titans. The Titans led 32-4 at one stage in a dominant performance. Both sides are now 7-10 for the season and can only afford one more loss if they want to contest the finals.

79min: Titans 38-22, try to Reece Robinson. The hardy fans who have stayed around get something to cheer for as Robinson runs away off a Ferguson break. Croker converts.

77min: Titans 38-16, try to Jarrod Croker. The Raiders get a consolation try and deny the Titans their largest ever winning margin. Croker picks up a Williams grubber and beats Idris to score. Croker converts his own try.

Injury update: Sezer has a suspected broken hand, while Papalii has suspected bone bruising on his right knee.

73min: Titans 38-10, try to Will Zillman. After going a season without getting a meat pie, Zip Zip gets his second of the game for a memorable return to Canberra. Prince converts.

70min: Titans 32-10, try to Sam Williams. The Raiders halfback gets some respectability to the scoreline, stretching out to score Canberra's first points in more than an hour. Croker converts.

67min: Injury dramas for both sides. Titans five-eighth Aiden Sezer is off the field with a hand injury, while Josh Papalii has headed up the race for the Raiders. Waiting on an injury report for him.

Stat attack: The Titans on track for the biggest win in the club's history, surpassing a 26-point margin from a 38-12 win against the Parramatta Eels in 2007.

58min: Titans 32-4, try to Luke O'Dwyer: Oh dear. Some marshmallow soft defence on the edge from the Raiders allows O'Dwyer to get his name on the scoresheet. Prince couldn't hit a barndoor today but it doesn't matter.

56min: And yet another penalty against the Raiders, I need to take off my gloves and shoes to count what number that is.

54min: Titans 28-4, try to Beau Falloon. That should be enough for the Gold Coasters to return to the Glitter Strip with the two competition points. The former South Sydney Rabbitoh crashes over close to the line as the Raiders pay the price for a few simple errors. Prince converts.

51min: Kicking out on the full, incorrect play the balls and now the ball hitting the Earl of Twirl as he escorts it across the dead ball line - it's just been that sort of afternoon for the Raiders. They're a shadow of the side which smashed the Storm in Melbourne last week.

48min: A couple of forward pass calls on both teams. The crowd is absolutely going off after seeing the replay of Williams's pass to Joel Thompson. Both looked flat at best, tough on both sides.

46min:The headgear twins combine to get the Raiders their second try of the game. Or do they? Sam Williams grubbers into the in-goal with Croker claiming he got his hands to it. Video ref gives the red light for a knock on, a close call for the Titans.

42min: The other Mini goes within an inch of planting the ball over the line except from some desperate Raiders defence. Massive next 10 minutes for the Raiders.

Second half: And we're away in the second half. What a start! The kickoff bounces off the goalposts with Beau Falloon picking up the ball to put the Titans on the attack.

Halftime: The Titans in control with a 22-4 lead. Hard to see the Raiders fighting their way back but they will have the breeze at their backs. The home crowd giving the refs plenty to say as they walk off the park.

39min: An awkward bounce for Reece Robinson and the Raiders fullback is bundled back into the in-goal from another perfect Titans kick. The hosts are under the pump, halftime can't come quick enough.

37min: Zip Zip Zillman having a blinder against his old side, taking a grubber from Williams on his own goal line and sprinting up to halfway before getting brought down by the cover defence.

Tweet update: Here's one from @BJ_Rugby, obviously still dirty on the ACT Brumbies getting bundled out of the Super Rugby comp after yesterday's loss to the lowly Blues - ''Raiders and Brumbies competing for top spot in the Miss Tackles pageant.'' Send your tweets to @CanbTimesSport

32min: A couple of defensive statements from the Raiders. Josh Papalii launches himself to get the crowd fired up. Jarrod Croker tries the same, but bounces off the monster frame of Jamal Idris. Definitely punching out of his weight division.

29min: Titans 22-4. Geez, it's hard to see the home side come back from here. The Titans spread the ball wide on the fourth tackle from within their own half, Idris drawing in Edrick Lee before Steve Michaels steps inside Robinson for his second. Prince misses, again.

26min: That's one of the most bizarre scrums I've seen. The ball spits out about 15m before the Raiders dive on it.

23min: Titans 18-4. After back to back penalties - both a bit dubious - big Luke Douglas barges over from close range. Terrible goalline defence from the Raiders, could be a long afternoon if they keep up this rubbish. Prince converts from right in front.

18min: Titans 12-4. Jamal Idris reminds everyone why he's one of the NRL's most dangerous players, flicking an offload to spark a 60m try. The other Mini draws the fullback to put Steve Michaels in under the posts. Only Prince's woeful kicking is keeping the Raiders in the game.

16min: After their energetic start, the Raiders have been stuck down their own end of the field ever since. That breeze their running into has to be worth at least 12 points. The locals hope so anyway.

14min: Titans 8-4. Kevin Gordon performs a circus juggle to give the Titans lead. The ball bounces off the winger's chest, but he's able to regather it and dive over in the left corner. Prince misses his second conversion.

12min: Gotta love the work of Matt Srama, the Titans dummy-half scooting to the left and putting big Ben Ridge over the line. The video ref gets called into work for the first time, with the red light getting shown. The Raiders successfully get their hands under the ball.

8min: 4-all: That was too easy for the Titans. Former Raider Will Zillman runs a perfect line, shoves away Josh McCrone and we have a game on our hands. That's Zillman's first try of the season, incredible, it's taken until round 19.

5min: Raiders 4-0: And the Raiders are in! Reece Robinson continues his blazing form to set up Blake Ferguson to run through some lazy left-edge defence from the Titans. Jarrod Croker misses the conversion. A perfect start from the Green Machine.

2min: A great early chance from the Raiders, Robinson puts Sticks Lee into the corner only for the Titans to force the ball loose. Another drop out.

1min: Boy oh boy, a schoolboy mistake from Aiden Sezer. The Titans five-eighth catches the ball from the kickoff and puts his foot dead, resulting in a dropout.

Kickoff: And here we go with the Raiders kicking off.

Pre-game: To have your say during the game, hit me up on Twitter @CanbTimesSport and I'll try to get as many comments up as possible.

Pre-game: Here's the first of our predictions from the fans for today's game: @kincuri tweets: ''the Earl-Ferguson bromance will continue to grow to the detriment of Dugan. Expecting doubles from each of them.'' - Can't agree mate, Dugan will go straight back in at fullback, as early as next week's match v the Sharks. Robinson will go to the wing, with either big Sticks Lee or Earl the unlucky one to miss out.

Pre-game: In Toyota Cup, the Raiders beat the Titans 34-14 to move up to third on the ladder. A reminder of last time the Titans were in Canberra - they won in golden point in a match remembered for Matt Orford fumbling from a scrum with a minute on the clock. Surely the same won't happen today.

Pre-game: Hello from Canberra Stadium, where it's a chilly afternoon but the sun's out and it's perfect for footy. Just one change for the Canberra Raiders, with prop Dane Tilse out with a rib injury. He'll be replaced in the starting side by the man mountain, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, with Sam Mataora added to the bench. For the Titans, Luke O'Dwyer starts in the centres with Dominique Peyroux on the bench.

Preamble: The Raiders last week knocked off the top team. The Titans will be accutely aware of their Giant-killing tendencies.
