That's it for us tonight. Roosters 56 Tigers 14. Thanks for your company and we'll be back on Friday night with Phil Mitchell in the chair as the Rabbitohs host the Bulldogs. See you then.
78 min: Curtis Sironen bags another consolation try for the Tigers. Roosters 56 Tigers 14, kick to come.
74 min: TRY to the Roosters. James Maloney makes the bust before offloading to Michael Jennings who grabs his second for the night and 16th for the year. Roosters 54 Tigers 10, kick to come.
71 min: James Tedesco bags a well-deserved try but too little too late doesn't even come close. Roosters 50 Tigers 10, kick to come.
70 min: The Roosters aren't defending like a team leading by 44. That's the difference between these two tonight.
64 min: Benji Marshall (who else) throws a pass to no-one. Well not, no one but Mitchell Pearce, who charges over under the sticks. Maloney kicks his ninth. That's the 50 for the Roosters.
61 min: He's a freak this bloke. Maloney makes it eight from eight from the sideline, and I'm tipping the Roosters to crack 70. 44-6 they lead now.
60 min: Disgraceful from the Tigers. They've just stopped trying. James Tedesco, who's been among their best tonight, just watches a ball head toward the dead-ball line paying no attention to a flying Michael Jennings who gets a hand around him to ground it. Roosters 42, Tigers 6, kick to come.
57 min: Easy as that. Mitchell Pearce dummies from dummy-half to score in his 150th game. Roosters 36 Tigers 6, kick to come, and there's still 25 minutes to go.
56 min: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck runs about 50m for the Roosters and they're just metres out on the second tackle.
54 min: Maloney adds the extras and the Roosters win an immediate penalty from the restart. Roosters 32 Tigers 6.
52 min: This is going to become very ugly very quick. Daniel Tupou darts away from the scrum and runs 25m to score. That's 30 and there's a kick to come.
49 min: Another successful conversion for Maloney. Roosters 26 Tigers 6.
47 min: Daniel Mortimer has scored his second try in about 90 seconds. Great running football from the Roosters there. 24-6 with a kick to come and this could blow out.
The on-field call was try to Daniel Mortimer and it may actually be hard to overturn.
44 min: Roosters over the line but not much celebration afoot. We're going upstairs.
Teams making their way back, unlike Blake Ayshford whose facial cut is so severe his night is over.
JAMES POLSON: They appeared to concede the penalty rather than risk a six-pointer but you get the impression going eight points behind might just be the end of the Tigers. They've played well in the opening term but it's hard to see the Roosters' discipline and execution being so poor in the second half. Expect Trent Robinson to give them a bit of a spray - particularly Luke O'Donnell who almost cost them a 12-point turnaround. Back soon with Glenn Jackson's take on the first half. Roosters 14 Tigers 6.
Maloney makes it three from three to extend the Roosters' lead to 14-6.
The siren sounds and the Roosters will have a kick to make it an eight-point game.
40 min: Another hand in the ruck from the Tigers. Surely they'll take the two.
39 min: The Roosters will have the final say in the opening term. They still lead 12-6.
37 min: Mitch Aubusson throws a wayward pass this time but the Roosters recover and remain in possession.
36 min: Blake Ayshford spilling plenty of claret and the Tigers are playing with 12 right now.
35 min: Benji Marshall's pass goes to ground as the Tigers shift wide.
34 min: Luke O'Donnell has just cartwheeled Tim Simona and looks like conceding another penalty. We know forwards aren't the smartest of blokes but surely someone's told him playing in the finals is actually a desirable outcome? He's on report.
32 min: Keith Galloway knocks on for the Tigers and the Roosters are in sensational position to extend the lead before the break.
32 min: And the Tigers fail to find touch with the kick. The words 'shadow' and 'former self' are bandied around these days, but...
31 min: The penalty ends up going the way of the Tigers and Mitchell Pearce and O'Donnell are none too happy about it.
31 min: STINK. Not sure what happened there but Luke O'Donnell and Keith Galloway appear to have been in the thick of it.
30 min: The Roosters kick for the corner but Tim Simona is there to send it dead. Line drop-out.
28 min: The Roosters win a penalty on the first tackle and Maloney's kick finds touch just inside the Tigers' territory.
26 min: Maloney again makes no mistake with the conversion. Roosters 12 Tigers 6.
25 min: SBW. OMG. It looks like the Kiwi has scored the Roosters' second in a sensational effort. He takes about half of the Tigers' defence over the line with him before manoeuvring his right arm to ground it. The video ref is having a look but this should be a try.
23 min: Aubusson penalised for appearing to drop Blake Ayshford on his head. Probably fair.
21 min: Mitch Aubusson makes a lovely run to beat about half of the Tigers defenders before being tackled about 15m out. Tigers now back in possession. Score remains 6-6.
20 min: And just as I type that, they may have scored again. Benji Marshall shapes to kick wide before shifting back in-field and Tedesco gets to it to ground the ball but it looks like he's gone over the dead-ball line in the process.
JAMES POLSON: Still six-apiece and not going to script so far for the Roosters - the Tigers have looked good in attack and Lote Tuqiri is making his presence felt as he chases another deal for next year.
16 min: Shaun Kenny-Dowall watches Benji's kick roll over the dead-ball line.
15 min: Frank-Paul Nuuasala penalised for not being square as marker. Not a great kick from Marshall though.
12 min: TRY to the Tigers. Blake Ayshford makes the bust for the Tigers before winning a penalty, they spread wide and James Tedesco gets a lovely ball out to Lote Tuqiri who scores in the corner. Roosters 6 Tigers 4, kick to come.
9 min: Waerea-Hargreaves involved again to force the error with a crunching tackle on his own line.
7 min: Jared Waerea-Hargreaves knocks on just as the Roosters were threatening again. I'm sure he'll get another chance - the Tricolours are getting offloads away at will already.
6 min: James Maloney absolutely drills that one through the uprights. Roosters 6-0.
4 min: Just like that - Jake Friend darts from close range and crosses just near the sticks for the Roosters. Lazy defence allows the offload in the previous play and considering that came off the back of two penalties this could be a tiring night for both me and the Tigers. Roosters 4 Tigers 0, kick to come.
1 min: The Roosters go almost the length of the field in their first set before kicking for the corner but the Tigers do well to cover.
Former Rooster Braith Anasta kicks off and Sam Moa takes the first hit-up for the Roosters.

Plenty of changes for the Roosters - Mitch Aubusson drops back to the second row with Aidan Guerra benched, while Dylan Napa and Tinarau Arona are out of the 17. Samisoni Langi starts in the centres and Luke O'Donnell is back on the bench. Surely even such team tinkering and the prevalence of Monday upsets this year won't be enough to stop Trent Robinson's men?
Tigers first as far as changes go and Bodene Thompson and Jack Buchanan are out - Matt Bell and Masada Iosefa respectively to replace them. Shaun Spence was 18th man and has also been dropped from the extended bench.
JAMES POLSON: Good evening and welcome to tonight's live coverage of the Roosters hosting the Tigers. The Tigers have been as far out of favour with punters as to hit double figures and it's hard to see them being wrong. Remember they lost to Parramatta last week, while the Roosters are still sitting pretty at the top of the ladder regardless of what happens tonight. They're conceding just over 11 points a game and scoring 27 - exactly the start the bookies have given the hapless Tigers. Back in a few moments with team changes.

Phil Mitchell writes: Under-siege Tigers coach Mick Potter couldn’t be blamed if he was secretly grateful for Benji Marshall’s controversial video announcing his signing with the Auckland Blues Super Rugby team. At least the media focus has been on Marshall’s arguably ill-timed appearance in a Blues jersey instead of speculation that Potter’s cards are marked at the Tigers after a dismal season. But the spotlight will inevitably fall back on Potter if the Tigers slump to a sixth consecutive defeat on Monday, especially if the scoreline is one-sided as widely predicted. There’s certainly little to suggest otherwise – the ladder-leading Roosters have won six of their past seven clashes with the Tigers, are on a seven-match winning streak and welcome back Sonny Bill Williams from suspension.
Phil's tip: Roosters by 22.
AAP writes: This is as big a mismatch you could currently conjure up. The Roosters are gunning for eight straight, while the Tigers have lost their last five. In a battle of the code-hoppers, Tigers coach Mick Potter has stuck with Super Rugby-bound Benji Marshall, Lote Tuqiri returns to the Tigers’s wing for the first time in over a year, and Sonny Bill Williams will slot back in at second row for the Roosters after serving a two week suspension. A victory here for the Roosters will make it very hard for the Rabbitohs to chase them down for the minor premiership. They’ll likely win big.
Key: The form of Roosters halves Mitchell Pearce and James Maloney should be a class above the Tigers’ Braith Anasta and an out of sorts Marshall.
