FULLTIME: Souths move into second on the ladder with a 34-18 victory against the Raiders at Canberra Stadium. But the win may come at a cost, with both John Sutton and Sam Burgess nursing injuries. The Raiders scored two tries in the final five minutes to add some credibility to the scoreline.
79min: TRY: The Raiders go the length of the field as Anthony Milford shows a clean pair of heels. It shows what happens when Milford gets involved in the backline. Croker converts. Souths 34; Raiders 18
78min: TRY! A consolation try for the Raiders as Jarrod Croker scores under the posts from a clever kick from Josh McCrone. I can't believe we're going to the video ref for this, purely a waste of time. It's a try! Souths 34; Raiders 12
71min: TRY: This is officially a massacre. Souths have turned on the afterburners and leaving the Raiders in their wake. It's Reynolds with his second try of the game and again it's under the posts. Reynolds converts. Souths 34; Raiders 6
67min: TRY!!! The Bunnies are home, baby! Reynolds puts up a terrific high ball into the in-goal as Bryson Goodwin comes from absolutely nowhere to snatch the bomb and plant it down over the line. The Rabbitohs players are in raptures, celebrating in front of a small group of Souths fans. Reynolds converts. Souths 28; Raiders 6
62min: TRY!!! Simply outstanding from the Rabbitohs as Reynolds finishes off a terrific team movement under the posts. Give the credit to Johnston for making a bust on the halfway line, leaving Sauiluma in sixes and sevens before he finds a flying Reynolds. Reynolds converts. Souths 22; Raiders 6
Yet another injury for the Rabbitohs, with Sam Burgess in the change room with ice on his shoulder.
58min: It's the Raiders on the charge again as Campese throws a cracking pass to Croker close to the line. He goes oh so close, flicks it out the back to Campese and he's held short as well. The Raiders have knocked on.
55min: TRY!!!!! That's a sensational, circus like finish from Sami Sauiluma in the left-hand corner. The video ref has several looks at it, and it's the green light! The Raiders are on the board as Sauiluma is airborne as he plants it down. Croker misses the conversion. Souths 16; Raiders 6
53min: A positive bit of play from the Raiders. Papalii makes a strong line bust, with the Raiders on the next tackle forcing a line drop out.
45min: TRY: This is a massive mistake from Anthony Milford. Milford jumps over the ball thinking it was going to go dead from a Souths' grubber kick, but doesn't make contact. Alex Johnston swoops and may have got his hands to it just before the dead-ball line. IT'S A TRY!!!!!! Unbelievable. Reynolds fails again with another sideline conversion. Souths 16; Raiders 2
HALFTIME: The Rabbitohs are launching one last raid on the Raiders' line just before halftime. The Raiders are able to hang on, and consider themselves lucky to be trailing by just 10 points at halftime. Souths have been totally dominant in the first 40 minutes, but Adam Reynolds has missed all three of his conversions. Souths 12; Raiders 2
37min: Josh McCrone tries a chip kick 30m out from his own line on the last tackle and the Rabbitohs regather it to have fantastic field position. Got to question why McCrone didn't kick long.
34min: These mistakes are killing the Raiders. Ricky Stuart's got to be tearing his hair out in the coach's box. This time, it's Paul Vaughan knocking it on attempting to play the ball just a metre from the line.
33min: Milford, who has hardly been sighted, gets the ball in his hands and puts through a clever grubber kick into the in goal. The Rabbitohs have to knock it dead and it's another set for the Raiders.
31min: Finally, the Raiders complete a set of six and Campese's grubber kick is a good one. The Raiders put in a superb chase to force the line drop out.
29min: TRY: The Rabbitohs are carving the Raiders apart on the edges. This time it's on the left with a big shift from the scrum that was 10m out. Bryson Goodwin gets a beautiful pass from Auva'a to score in the corner, with GI again playing a key role by attracting two defenders. Reynolds makes it 0-3 with the boot. Rabbitohs 12; Raiders 2
26min: Is it George or Tom? No idea of telling from here, but whichever Burgess twin it is, the Raiders do remarkably well to keep him out from close range. Paul Vaughan with the key tackle. Rabbitohs kick out wide on the last but the Raiders hang on.
25min: The Raiders get pretty lucky with Alex Johnson knocking on from a Campese mammoth drop-out. But just as the Raiders are inside the red zone of the Rabbitohs, they knock the ball on and it's another unforced error.
22min: Another injury for Souths, with Kyle Turner looking very groggy on the sidelines. Turner's going up the tunnel for what is probably a concussion test.
20min: The Hulk is on for the Raiders, with Paul Vaughan replacing Brett White.
19min: VIDEO REF: We're going upstairs for the first time tonight to have a look at a possible Raiders try. Josh McCrone's cross-field kick isn't caught by the Rabbitohs, and Sauiluma may have got his hands to it before the ball goes over the dead ball line. The referee says no try, Sauiluma's not confident at all. NO TRY, knock on Sauiluma.
17min: This is a good set from the Raiders. Nice runs from Josh Papalii and Glen Buttriss. Finished off with a decent kick over the top, the Rabbitohs have to bring it back from 5m out.
15min: The Raiders are shooting themselves in the foot with silly penalties. Just as Souths start their set from just 5m out, they get out of jail with a relieving penalty for dissent at the referee.
13min: We're getting reports that Sutton has sustained a medial ligament injury in his knee.
12min: TRY: Souths are in again after a Brett White mistake hands the visitors great field position. It's on the right edge again and a great cross-field kick from Adam Reynolds finds Alex Johnston. Where on Earth was the Raiders winger on that side? Pretty ordinary defence from Sauiluma. Reynolds' conversion hits the posts and bounces out. Souths 8; Raiders 2
9min: John Sutton has come from the field, with Luke Keary going on in his place. Sutton goes straight down the tunnel for the Rabbitohs doctor to check out his injury.
TRY: Souths punish the Raiders for giving away a penalty, swinging the ball to the right, Dylan Walker too strong for Jarrod Croker one on one. Some great work from Greg Inglis to hold up the pass and give Walker a clean run at the line. Reynolds misses the conversion. Souths 4; Raiders 2
6min: Injury concern for the Rabbitohs, with John Sutton on the ground being looked at by the trainer. Looks like a knee injury. It's got a fair bit of tape on it, and he's jogging his way back into the line.
3min: The Raiders get their second penalty of the game and captain Terry Campese points to the posts. A bit of a surprising decision only 10m out. Croker throws it over. Raiders 2; Souths 0
And we're off and running with the Rabbitohs kicking off in their away white strip, with the Raiders in their traditional lime green jerseys.

In the earlier Holden Cup match, it was a 22-18 win by South Sydney. That leaves the Rabbitohs in 11th on the table but only one point outside the top eight, while the Raiders remain in 12th.
Some outrageous news from Canberra Stadium - Raiders great Alan Tongue forced to wait in line behind CT journo Jon Tuxworth at the canteen. Surely 200-plus games gets you a gold pass to skip the queues and have all the meat pies you can handle.
Hello and welcome to a mild, but not frozen, Canberra Stadium for tonight's NRL encounter between the Canberra Raiders and the South Sydney Rabbitohs. I'll be with you for the entire 80 minutes along with a bit of pre-game news before we kick off at 7pm. The Raiders are desperate for a win to stay away from the wooden spoon, while the Rabbitohs need to keep in touch with the top four.
