Live: St George Illawarra Dragons v Manly Sea Eagles

Phil Mitchell

Full-time: Dragons 17-6. My old man, a Dragons tragic from way back, will be rapt with the result, and I'm not displeased either as I am now four from four in the tipping this week. Thanks for joining me this week and see you next time.

79 min: Soward field goal. Dragons 17-6.

76 min: Dragons 16-6. Nightingale scores his second try of the night, after a pinpoint kick from Ben Hornby, to wrap up the match for the Dragons (barring a Roosters v Souths-like miracle).  Soward misses the kick.

73 min: Manly looking tired. Dragons making easy metres out of dummy half and winning the territorial battle.

70 min: Only 10 minutes to go now. Dragons must be thinking 'field goal'.

65 min: Great bomb defusal by Michael Oldfield in-goal, and then Manly get a penalty. Now it's the Dragons' turn to defend their line. Williams releases the pressure on the home side by knocking on in the play-the-ball. Score remains Dragons 12-6. Unfortunately we have a few technical issues tonight and the score in our match centre is not updating - currently it shows the Dragons leading 12-0. Our apologies.

63 min: Dragons peppering the Manly line. Match could be won or lost here.

58 min: Manly are lifting but so too are the vocal Kogarah crowd!

53 min: Stewart bursts through but his flick pass goes into touch. Still, Manly are looking very dangerous.

45 min: And so they do as Brett Stewart and Lyon combine to put David Williams over in the right corner. Lyon adds the extras. Dragons 12-6. What was I saying about the Dragons being hard to run down from here? After all, Manly almost ran down Cronulla in the second half last week after being down by plenty.

43 min: Morris fumbles a kick in the Dragons' in-goal. Manly get a repeat set. Big chance to hit back.

Second half: Players back on the field.

Half-time: Dragons 12-0. Fantastic effort by the Dragons to hold the premiers tryless for the first half and score two themselves. Hard to see the Dragons being run down from here.

35 min: Nightingale claims a try. Referee sends it upstairs. TRY, benefit of the doubt.  Soward makes no mistake with the kick. Dragons 12-0.

32 min: Skinner on for Manly, making his first hit-up in an NRL match. Like Soward, he hails from Wagga Wagga.

23 min: Sea Eagles dodge a bullet when Nightingale drops the ball over the Manly line.

20 min: Manly under the pump. Dragons scrum feed 10m from Manly's line.

19 min: Kieran Foran penalised for a high tackle on Jason Nightingale. No question the refs got it right this time.

15 min: Dragons knock-on but Manly are ruled offside. Sea Eagles captain Jamie Lyon unhappy with the decision.

10 min: Mistake by Manly lets Dragons off the hook.

8 min: Goal-line drop-out by the Dragons. More pressure coming up.

7 min: Penalty puts Manly on the attack.

4 min: Dragons 6-0. "The Horse" has bolted. Prop Michael Weyman bursts onto a terrific pass from hooker Mitch Rein and shows Brett Morris-like speed to race 30 metres and open the scoring. Jamie Soward converts.

Good evening all, thanks for your company. Players are making their way on to the field. Both teams have made some late changes, with Beau Scott and Leeson Ah Mau in for the Dragons, replacing Matt Prior and Jack De Belin. For Manly, Nick Skinner and Jorge Taufua will make their NRL debuts at the expense of Tim Robinson and Jason Annear.

The Dragons, fresh from a big win against the Tigers, host the defending premiers. Join rugby league anorak, 'Sonny' Phil Mitchell, from 7.30pm
