Full time, Cowboys beat Raiders 22-6. Canberra has now gone L-W-L-W-L. Hopefully that spells trouble for the Warriors on Sunday. For mine, Tilsey, TLL, Robinson and Ferguson were the Raiders best. Tilsey ran for over 135m in his comeback from a rib injury. Still feeling for Whitey, absolutely tragic for the big fellas. We'll do it all again on this blog at 2pm when we clash with the boys from across the deeeeetch.
When the Cows scored to make it 22-0 after 55 mins, it looked like the score could be anything. Raiders have done well in the back end of this game to avoid it becoming embarrassing.
75: Brent Tate is ruled to have knocked the ball on attempting to play the ball and he is blowing up deluxe! Calm down Tatey, the two points are in the bag for your mob.
74: Campo puts up a bomb again and the video ref correctly rules Fergo knocked it on before J-Mac touched it down. The dreaded red letters come up on the big screen.
72: Joshy McCrone pulls off a great 40-20 and another chance to attack for the Green Machine. Trying to get people calling McCrone 'J-Mac'. Hopes it sticks.
69: Short ball by Waddell puts Sam Mataora over for the Raiders!!! That's the second rower's second try in as many games after scoring his first NRL 'meat pie' against the Tigers last week. What a try machine. Hear those footsteps Billy Slater? Croker converts, which coincidentally takes him to outright leader on the NRL pointscorer's list. Trying to think optimistic.
68: Knock on by Cowboys winger Ash Graham close to his own try line. Chance for the Raiders to prevent themselves walking off with Daggles the Duck on the screen tonight.
66: The only time the Raiders have been kept scoreless at home in their 31-year history was in round 19 last year against Storm (26-0). In massive danger here of adding to that unwanted statistic.
64: Writing danger zone just before reminded me of Top Gun. Unfortunately not even Tom Cruise could get them out of this sticky predicament.
60: Ferguson has been arguably the Raiders best tonight. His charging and aggressive runs have been important getting Canberra out of their danger zone.
54: Cows halfback Ray Thompson does a 'show and go' close to the Raiders line and manages to score despite a great tackling attempt by Dane Tilse. Thurston converts. 22-0. This could be a blowout folks. The injury gods obviously hate the Green Machine.
52: BOOOM!!! Tariq Sims just lined up Tom Learoyd-Lahrs and smashed him in a bell ringer. Two massive humans. Pretty sure that registeredon the Richter scale.
51: The Cows knock the ball dead contesting a high ball and it's a drop out. Chance here for the Raiders to give themselves some sort of chance.
49: Thurston misses the conversion, but it's still 16-0 to the Cows. Can't see how the Raiders are going to get back into this. With the injuries they'll be more tired than an insomniac in the last 20 minutes.
47: Yet ANOTHER try to the Cows down the Raiders left side. Wighton has been good so far this year, but with another bad read the regular centre or five eighth is showing winger isn't his most comfortable position.
46: The Cowboys spread the ball again and nearly score their third try. Line drop out coming, a chance to deliver the knockout punch already you would think.
Key stats: Offloads - Cows 7 Raiders 1. Line breaks: Cows 4 Raiders 0. Kane Linnett has already run for 160 metres for Cows. Not bad for a centre.
40th: On last play of the first half, Blake Ferguson leaps high for a Campo bomb but can't catch it. 12-0 at halftime.
36: Reece Lightning blew a try for the Raiders there. Should have passed outside him to Shaun Berrigan who would have been over for sure midway through that attacking set.
35: FINALLY the Raiders get some love from the refs. Penalty and go on the attack.
34: Brett White is gone for the season, with a ruptured ACL, FOx Sports is reporting. Absolutely shattering for the big man. One of the true gentlemen of the game and has been great so far this year.
32: Thurston has no trouble converting. JT is putting on a clinic so far. 12-0 to the Cows. With the Raiders injuries this is looking ominous.
30: Another superb cut out pass from Thurston puts Ash Graham over untouched. The Raiders left side defence is back to what it was last year.... imitating a turnstile.
28: Confirmation Joely T has a left foot injury, it's in a bucket of ice on the bench. Third week in a row the Raiders have had to play large portion of the game with at least two injuries.
25: Matty Bowen pulls off a superb 40-20 kick, the Raiders under pressure once again and look they will have to pay with 15 men for the rest of the game.
24: Joel Thompson has also gone up the tunnel with an injury. Fair dinkum, the Raiders are the unluckiest sports team on the planet.
22: Cows lock Dallas Johnson is looking groggy.... again. Good news for me I took Dallas Johnson more that 2.5 concussions on ACTTAB.
20th min: Raiders prop Brett White is not alright. He tried to put a big hit on James Tamou and is down on the ground with a knee injury. A disaster for Canberra who already have Shillo on the sidelines. The medicab is on the field to escort him from the field.
19th min: McCrone goes for one of his trademark darts at the line, but knocks it on a metre out from the try line! Big let off for the Cows.
17th min: Campese hoists a huge kick downfield and Antonio Winterstein knocks it on close to his own try line. Is this the momentum changer?
16th min: The Cowboys are running at the Raiders left side defence as often as possible. Could be a big night for Jarrod Croker, lucky he has his trademark headgear he may need it.
14th min: Raiders hooker Glen Buttriss knocks on 40m from the hosts' tryline running out of dummy half. Cowboys are all over the Raiders at the moment!
12th min: Thurston puts more curve on his conversion than Kim Kardashian and nails it right over the black dot! Cowboys lead 6-0
10th min: A beautiful second man play by Thurston finds Brent Tate, who uses the strength from his huge chin to score in the corner. Winger Jack Wighton rushed off his flank, probably wrong decision. Cowboys looking very crisp
5th min: Cows are looking really good early, spreading the ball at every opportunity to both flanks
Raiders winger has copped an early head knock of James Taumulolo, who has been placed on report. Penalty to Raiders.
Both teams are out on the field, whoever wins tonight will be fourth on the ladder at the end of round 5!
