Infrastructure ignored

February 8, 2012

One can only hope that the current proposal by Minister Andrew Barr to release more land for housing will not be undertaken until, unlike past and current efforts, surrounding infrastructure such as schools and connecting roads are upgraded.

SELF-COMMEMORATION?

Could there be any other reason for the proposed twin atrocities by the lake than a desperate desire of members of the Memorials Development Committee to commemorate themselves?

GOD HELP US

If the first day of the 2012 federal parliamentary year is anything to go by all I can say is god help this country if Abbott and his dysfunctional team are let loose on this country whenever the next election may happen.

The humiliating first parliamentary day has been and gone. Circus Maximus is in town again; the clowns and jesters, the turncoats, the ne'er-do-wells, the charlatans, the self-promoters, the devious, all loyally performing at their party's directions and all peeling off $180,000 to $480,00 of taxpayer's money for their childish antics. CYCLISTS SHUN SPECIAL LANE

Now I have seen it all. After the ACT Government has spent millions of dollars creating road cycle lanes, two fully decked out lycra-clad cyclists riding along Commonwealth Avenue in the kerb lane adjacent to an empty cycle lane. They claim they are within the road rules.
