Andrew Cappie-Wood will be Director-General of the NSW Attorney-General and Justice Department.
He has been head of the Chief Minister’s directorate since since 2007.
Chief Minister Katy Gallagher thanked Mr Cappie-Wood for his service to the Canberra community.
“He has served the ACT community very well over the past 6 years as the consummate public service leader,’’ Ms Gallagher said
“His loyalty and dedication to delivering high quality and responsive public services to the people of the ACT is well known across Canberra.
“I would particularly like to acknowledge the work he has overseen implementing the one government structure along with new initiatives to ensure the efficient administration of the ACT public service.’’
