Parliamentary Budget Office: shining a little more light on public finances

The Parliamentary Budget Office is a legacy of the former hung parliament and minority government. Its establishment, in 2011-12, was part of the agreement signed by Labor leader Julia Gillard to secure the support of the independent crossbenchers in the House of Representatives, notably Rob Oakeshott and Tony Windsor. How is the PBO travelling? The Auditor-General asked this in a recent report.
