Praise these pioneers of genuine public service innovation

In the six months since the release of the government's innovation statement, the Australian Public Service has embraced the concept enthusiastically. Innovation is cropping up everywhere; the buzzword is on the lips of senior staff across the APS. This enthusiasm may lead to better services or policy – or the innovation push could wither away. One good way to ensure innovation survives is to showcase examples where it's working – which is why the Institute of Public Administration Australia's ACT division, in partnership with the Public Sector Innovation Network, is sponsoring a series of innovation awards.
